Sustainability
“Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
(World Commission on Environment and Development, WCED)
Sustainability is not a temporary condition. It is a continuous process that combines 3 inseparable dimensions: social, economic and environmental.
The approach to sustainability is a corporate philosophy that leads to a new strategic approach and a new management direction.
The entire management orientation of Gandus Saldatrici in the strategic corporate planning of its development policies is based on the management and balancing of the three dimensions of social, environmental and economic sustainability.
Environmental
Gandus Saldatrici constantly operates in respect of the environment, investing in research and technological development for a continuous improvement of the performance of our products, combining the most specific needs of customers with the need for environmental responsibility.
All this through strict compliance with environmental regulations and a voluntary commitment to corporate practices and policies aimed at minimizing the use of non-renewable resources, promoting energy efficiency, optimizing the efficiency of production processes, the supply chain and the products themselves, eliminating material waste and where possible adopting recyclable and biodegradable materials, improving waste management, implementing the development of a circular economy. Added to this is a training policy for customers to help them achieve optimal use of our products to maximize their efficiency and reduce waste.
What we do in concrete terms:
Streamlining design and production processes
We constantly review and improve the design and technology of our products to make production processes more energy efficient, reducing material waste and optimizing resources. We improve the energy efficiency of our products to optimize energy consumption during use
Efficiency in use
We provide specific training to our Customers with the aim of achieving optimal use of the machines and maximizing efficiency and reducing waste.
Materials
We choose recyclable, biodegradable or low environmental impact materials where possible. We implement recycling and material recovery programs to reduce waste generated during the production and disposal of machinery, encouraging the reuse of components and materials.
Training and awareness
We promote training and awareness of staff and suppliers on environmental sustainability issues, encouraging responsible behavior and sustainable practices in the production and use of our products.
Collaboration with partners
We collaborate with suppliers and partners along the supply chain to promote sustainable practices and support the development of eco-responsible technologies and solutions.
Social
A history of more than 150 years testifies to the integration of social sustainability in our corporate strategy, our commitment to creating value also for our employees, our suppliers, our customers.
This type of sustainability highlights the company’s social responsibility and its ability to contribute to the well-being of the people it interacts with.
This includes adopting policies and programs aimed at promoting equity and inclusion in the workplace, ensuring decent, safe and well-being-enhancing working conditions, and supporting investments in training, job skills development and career prospects.
Added to this is the Welfare Account for each employee, fueled by the sharing of business results.
A company is made of people. Since 1885 Gandus Saldatrici is made of people who have been and are at our side with enthusiasm and desire to grow together to always create something unique.
Governance
Governance sustainability for Gandus Saldatrici refers to the company’s ability and willingness to manage each activity in a transparent, ethical and responsible manner. This type of sustainability concerns the effective management of stakeholder relationships, compliance with regulations and ethical principles, as well as the promotion of good corporate governance practices.
